9. Maker Course - View Module History and Test Workflow

Video Walkthrough

Follow Along:

  1. In the module builder, select History in the upper right. The Module Event History screen displays.

  2. Leave this screen open and in a new tab, create a test request:

    1. In the module builder, locate the Intake Interface Accessed trigger and select the Open Interface button, open_interface.png, to open and test the intake sequence.

    2. In the Request Information interface, fill in the following values:

      • What type of plushy would you like to order? - Winter Maestro

      • When do you need to receive this order by? - Any future date

      • Is this order a gift? - No

      When done, select Finish. The interface is submitted.

  3. Navigate back to the Module Event History screen.

  4. Review the workflow run, checking the various triggers and actions as demonstrated in the video. Additionally, confirm you received the notification email from the module action as expected.

  5. Open a new tab and create a second test request:

    1. In the module builder, locate the Intake Interface Accessed trigger and select the Open Interface button, open_interface.png, to open and test the intake sequence.

    2. In the Request Information interface, fill in the following values:

      • What type of plushy would you like to order? - Beach Maestro

      • When do you need to receive this order by? - Any future date

      • Is this order a gift? - No

      When done, select Finish. The interface is submitted.

  6. Navigate back to the Module Event History screen.

  7. Review the workflow run, checking the various triggers and actions as demonstrated in the video. Additionally, confirm you received the notification email from the module action as expected.

You have successfully tested your module workflow using both use cases, confirming the relevant triggers and actions worked as expected. Next, we'll create some global fields and begin setting up workflow metrics to track the performance of our solution.
